Common questions about building contractor work in Bolton & Bury
Still not answered? Ring 01204 960123 and speak to someone who has actually been on a site this week.
How long does a quote take?
We visit within three working days and send a written, itemised quote within a week of the visit. We do not quote from photographs.
Do you handle planning and Building Control?
Yes. We prepare and submit the drawings and deal with the inspections. Application fees are shown separately on your quote so you can see exactly what goes to the council.
Do I need planning permission for an extension?
Often not. A lot of single storey rear extensions fall under permitted development. We will tell you which side of the line your job sits on at the first visit, before you have spent anything.
How do payments work?
A deposit to secure the start date, then staged payments against completed work. We never ask for the full amount up front.
Are you insured?
Public liability insurance is in place and we will send the certificate with your quote without being asked.
What does the guarantee cover?
Ten years on our workmanship. Manufacturer warranties on materials such as roofing membrane and glazing are passed to you on completion.
